Mindu's Magical Instruments is the local magic shop in Iskandaria. Magic Shops are few throughout the world and sell staves, daggers, and accessories that have Elemental Arts and sometimes Elemental Support abilities. The items sold in the shop allow anyone who wields them to perform at least one Magic Art. The shop stocks five items at a time, or seven if the Artiste skill is used to see additional items.

The Abandoned Fortress near Iskandar hides the entrance to Undercity Pharos. This is the only adventure map in the game that can be entered an exited freely without having to embark on an adventure through an inn. Journeying into the Abandoned Fortress does not count as beginning an adventure, nor does exiting count as clearing one.

Like any map, leaving and returning to Abandoned Fortress will cause the map to be repopulated with monsters and treasures, allowing the player to freely study Magic Tablets, raise Monster Rank, and search for items and money without developing the Growth Panel or clearing an adventure.
