The Smithing Calculator finds the possible ways to create a desired item along with their success rates and possible failed results to make crafting new items at the blacksmith easier without having to cross-reference tons of charts and information.
Choose the Weapon Type you would like to create, the Material you would like it to be made out of, and the Ability Set you would like it to have. Once all three are selected, results will appear at the bottom of the page. Impossible combinations will become unable to select, so you can do things such as choosing a Weapon Type and Ability Set to see all the possible Materials (and the final strength of the Weapon) you can use to reach that set.
The calculator is still in development and has many known issues: some results that include Magic Arts do not calculate the correct result percentage, a few rare combinations calculate strange percentages, and certain combinations (like Carnelian + Ability Set 2 or Mullock + Ability Set 8, etc.) will crash the calculator completely. When using Dragonheart as the Base Item, results that have the same ability set with Ultra Heal that would not have had the same Ability Set without Ultra Heal will still calculate as if they are different Ability Sets. If you discover any additional errors or issues, please report them to me on the GameFAQs board.
