Heyyy everyone. So, the bug seems like it might be a problem with Disqus and not me (or rather, my lack of understanding of how Disqus handles ampersands, not to blame Disqus). Basically no matter how I try to write the ampersands in URLs, somewhere Disqus will not link back to the threads properly... This only affects play diaries with "scenarios", so TokiMemo3 and all of the SaGa games. Everything else works fine.

For now, everything should be updated to work almost all of the time, but when Disqus generates a link to send in an email to respond to the comment, it generates it wrong (even though it generates it properly everywhere else?) so if you click the "Reply" button in an email, the page will break, and you'll get an error. The same happens for any other URL generated in the email that links directly to the thread on ThaaoNET.

So if you're wanting to reply to a comment from an email you received from Disqus, you'll have to click on the username of the person who you are replying to, which will take you to their Disqus profile, and reply from there, rather than from my page. Though, once you're there, clicking any link that takes you to the thread on my page will work properly, so you can get back to the thread that way, too.

This is about the best I can get it functioning for now. I've contacted Disqus support about it and hopefully it will all be resolved soon. I don't know if this is a problem with all emails, or particularly Outlook emails, but if you're getting a table selection error when trying to reach a comment from a URL generated by Disqus, try going to the profile page of that Disqus user and using that to navigate back to the site, or just go to the thread on the site if you can get to it easily (to see an index of a diary, click the game's logo on that diary's page, or to see the most recent updates if you're wanting to go to something that's been posted in the last few days, just go to the ThaaoNET home page.)

Sorry for all the problems. And after I was begging for comments, they don't even work properly lol :)

EDIT: NVM, it suddenly is causing problems on some web links, too. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do ^_^ Apparently Disqus doesn't work on the weekends (but they do work on Fridays) so hopefully they'll get to my support ticket today hahaha :) I have no idea what their support is like but... same-day support seems unrealistic these days lol...

I fixed a problem with the Disqus comment sections on play diaries that have scenarios. So if you commented on TokiMemo or any of the SaGa games before now, your comment might disappear from that page. It still exists on Disqus somewhere, but it won't link back to the proper page to see what it was you were commenting on.

There was only one comment on a scenario diary so this shouldn't effect too much anyway. I guess it's good no one is really visiting and commenting yet since that would have been horrible to have this bug destroying lots of comments or something lol :,)

EDIT: KK, I did indeed fix the bug, but Disqus doesn't like it when you fix stuff and so it will only work on new entries that haven't ever been loaded in a browser before... fun... Hopefully it's not too hard to fix...

EDIT: KKKK, I had to like... manually update a bunch of crap for Disqus and upload a list thing. I guess it will take up to 24 hours for the pages to correct themselves, BUT it means the old comment threads won't be gone (as in, that one comment lolll)

So, I've updated the site a bit to make it a little easier on the eyes. I kinda liked the playful/kitsch look with the bold borders and contrasting colors, but ... probably most people don't like that hahaha. So I toned it down so you can focus more on the content and not massive, bright borders. Colors have been changed and the borders around most things have gotten thinner.

My brother and I played Castle Crashers for the first time in a looong time today, and we have the DLC now because he bought it for both of us. I played as the pink guy and he's so fun and cute. When he does his magic, he does a V-sign pose and shoots rainbows out... and his advanced magic is tossing plushies! I kinda forgot how fun this game was.

Hello friends~ Today's update is just a blog entry lol. Since the official launch, I think I've been updating every day though?! I kind of have some stuff to do today so I don't know if I'll update with a new play diary.

I've played a lot, though, so I just need to write some entries. I'm thinking about what I want to do as I near the end of the diaries I'm working on now. TokiMemo3 will not take long at all, and FF5 isn't terribly long either. We still have a while to go for unsaga, but when the other two are finished, I'll be working on that alone.

I was considering a few different things -- I do want to start a Mega Man diary since I don't have one yet, but I also want to get back to working on Rogue Nightmare (my current game project). I could do that alongside unsaga, but I don't want to have too many diaries going at the same time, because I might not be able to keep up with all of it and then I'd get discouraged and bad things would happen lmao.

Despite the fact that many people claimed to be excited about this site, no one is reading or commenting really :,) I realize people have better and more important things to do though. I really shouldn't be bitter like that lol...

But I was just so excited to get comments and stuff XD But I'm sure eventually people will come and look :) These things take a while, judging by the experience I've had on art sites and YouTube and stuff. But with this I pretty much have to self-promo to get people to even know it exists, because I'm not just a profile searchable on an existing site...

I'm terrible at that lol...

But yeah I think I just got my hopes up too much about the launch of the site. I really knew it was going to be dead for quite a while, but... XD

But I think if readership for the Play Diaries doesn't pick up by the time I finish TokiMemo3 and FF5, I might start working on RN right away. And if it seems people are actively engaging and reading, maybe I'll continue to play out more TokiMemo3 scenarios or go for Urpina in SGSG, and start up some Mega Man, too. I've been really craving to start Mega Man lately haha. Well, for a while now. But if I go the RN route, I'll start MM once I finish unsaga.

Oh and I want to get back to RSG3 eventually, too. I originally put it on hiatus because they announced an enhanced port coming soon, with plans to eventually make a localized version, but it's probably going to be years before we ever see that, so I will probably continue playing on the SFC. Maybe once I finish the other things, I should get back to that before starting anything new. I miss Mikhail's fuzzy-faced harem XD

UNLIMITED:Saga is going swimmingly; I'm updating with a new chapter today and have played a bit past that, too. I'm past the point where Laura's story path diverges in my own playing, and it's fun because I've never seen one of the story paths before because I always do the same one every time I play lol.

The new chapter is fun; finally we have our big showdown with Dagul Bos :) You can read it here~

But yeah, FJF should be updated again some time this weekend probably? And then TokiMemo3 will have to wait until at least next week because I didn't really have time to play this week... but I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

Anyway, so what's new with the site??? Well, other than the new unsaga diary chapter and this blog entry, I fixed a couple little bugs that weren't caught (like, uh, in the SaGa dropdown menu, it had "Mega Man Legends 2" between SG2 and SG3 wtf XD it was a copypaste mishap I guess) and I added FJF to the Play Diaries menu thing. It's yellow because it's a special event thing~

I also edited some CSS so images would display properly in blogs. If the images are huge and you've visited before now, try refreshing the page~
